The Ren & Stimpy Show - "Robin Höek / Nurse Stimpy"

"Robin Höek" and "Nurse Stimpy" are the second episodes of The Ren & Stimpy Show which premiered on August 25, 1991. After ending in 1995, the series reran on Nickelodeon off-and-on until 2002 when it moved to the newly launched Nicktoons TV network.

I watched a ton of Ren & Stimpy throughout its run on Nicktoons, especially from this era of branding and the "Nicktoons Network" era that preceded it. The show had cemented a place in the early-hours of the morning, usually after the standalone Action League Now series, so staying up (or waking up early) to watch it felt like an event. I spent many nights throughout 2009 and 2010 camping out in the living room and playing RuneScape or Neopets from the comfort of our couch's pull-out bed waiting for my cat and dog cartoon (not CatDog, but rather Ren & Stimpy.)

Nowadays, Ren & Stimpy has been tossed around on TeenNick's overnight block NickRewind more than a football. It hasn't aired on the main Nickelodeon channel since Thanksgiving 2007 and hasn't been seen on Nicktoons since August 2011. I'm not sure when and if it still airs regularly but I miss the two half-hour slots it'd receive late at night on Nicktoons.
